Join us for lunch at restaurant de Haagsche Bier Kluis at the Plein for May's Out to Lunch Bunch.
Until the Second World War, the Haagsche Bier Kluis was a bank building, built around 1905 in the Hague Jugendstil style. The building functioned as a residence and bank building of the Jewish Edersheim family. This can still be clearly seen from the old safe door in the basement. The Dutch Kluis (safe) is famous for their many, many beers and fries, but also soups, sandwiches, and flammkuchen. In the back of the restaurant is a small synagogue.
