Lencola Sullivan-Verseveldt is a dynamic motivational speaker who combines her vocal talents together with her positive and energetic presentation style. Her unique gift of self-expression through song and public speaking has enabled her to achieve significant professional and personal success as she speaks nationally as well as internationally at various conferences and events.


She is a frequent and popular guest lecturer at universities and women’s groups, speaking on the topics of Diversity & Inclusion (D&I), Leadership, Gender Diversity and Personal Development. Currently, Lencola works at the Royal Dutch Shell Headquarters in The Hague as an Office Manager and a founding member of the Shell Headquarters’ Diversity & Inclusion Action Team and D&I Focal Point for the Tax Department.


Lencola also made history as the first African-American to become runner-up to Miss America at the prestigious Miss America Pageant. She is still active with the Miss America Scholarship Program as a consultant, judge, emcee (Mistress of Ceremonies) and performer.
