De Regentes has a special and turbulent history. Opening in 1921, it was the largest indoor swimming pool in Europe. Since then it has been saved from closure several times by the local community, renovated as a theatre, become the temporary home of The National Theatre and is now a vibrant local theatre. Learn about its fascinating history as we tour this amazing building where you can still see details from the swimming pool. After the tour we can enjoy a drink in the cafe.
