Dinners at Home - Registration Deadline for Jan. 22 Dinner

Dinners at Home is back by popular demand! AWC members love the opportunity to share an evening with friends while enjoying a home-cooked meal, each course prepared by one of the guests. These dinners give our members the chance to get to know other members in a warm, personal venue – in the home of an AWC member!

The first Dinners at Home will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022.

To register for this dinner as a dinner hostess or dinner guest, contact Celeste Brown at celeste@russchenberg-brown.euwith the following information:

• Want to be a dinner hostess? Great! How many people can you accommodate?  Please note that with current Dutch government guidelines the number of guests allowed is 4.  Everyone must self-test for Covid.
• Want to be a dinner guest? Great! Is it a reservation for 1 or 2 people? Single AWC members may bring a guest, but it’s not required.

Registration deadline for this dinner is Friday, January 7.

Following the deadline, Celeste will create groups of dinner guests for each dinner hostess. Then she will notify everyone where they will be dining on January 22.

After this point, each dinner hostess is responsible for planning her dinner and communicating with her guests. All questions should be sent to the dinner hostesses.

Each dinner hostess will directly contact her dinner guests with:

• ·       What is the address where this dinner be held? Contact info?
• ·       What time should dinner guests arrive?
• ·       Is there a specific dinner theme? A certain cuisine? Hostess’ choice!
• ·       What dinner course should each person/couple bring?
• ·       Do dinner guests have dietary requirements or allergies?

Typically, the hostess provides the main course and wine while other guests bring appetizer, vegetable or salad, and dessert. Of course, this can vary depending on the hostess’ plans. Is the hostess planning a tapas dinner? Or a formal dinner? Or a casual pick-up-food dinner?  Be creative!

So let’s get Dinners at Home going. Let the “wining and dining” begin!
